Peter Kunz
Creating oil paintings has become Peter's (1965) untamed passion since September 2005. Actually, painting is like nourishment for him; if not fed adequately, he feels sub optimal. Because many hours are spend in his studio weekly, Peter is nourished well!

Peter’s Big Example is Gerard van Honthorst (1592 – 1656). This Dutch Caravaggist was truly Mastering the subtle play between light and shadow.

Inspired by van Honthorst and other Masters, Peter did create a series of paintings. He did not try to copy them but tried to catch to atmosphere of the original paintings by means of his own technique.

Moreover, Peter is fascinated by the way the human body can be made to live by means of oil paint. Therefore, in his work you will find people and people only.
